When I got in the coffee bar, I didn't notice that Tia Luci and I were the only females in the place, nor did I notice how the girls working behind the bar were dressed. Rod came over and whispered to me that this is a "Gentlemen's" coffee bar. Still not catching on, I looked around and saw the girls were dressed in tiny little tight, very short dresses that just barely covered . . . never mind. They serve the coffee and talk, give kisses and hugs when the customers leave, etc. There are mirrors all over the place so you can see the girls from pretty much anywhere you are. Rod said when he first walked in, one of the girls was reaching across the bar to give a customer a hug, with the low mirror along the back wall behind the bar, you know that customer got more than a hug.
I noticed the lady who was actually making the coffee and told Rod, "Look, they got the ugly one making the coffee." I know, that was so not nice, but it was funny. Dad came over to us sipping a glass of milk through a straw - he told us that he used to come here everyday to have his milk like a good boy (it was a little bit of an OMG moment).
I was amused until one of the girls spilled a glass of water on me (no apologies or anything, just a comment that the water was 'fresh'), then I was totally over our stop at Cafe con piernas and ready to move on. (The coffee is good, by the way - even though they had no idea what soy milk was.)
This kind of place are only for Gentlemen, the coffee is terrible , they go just for de piernas!
