Un otro almuerzo fabuloso prepararo por Tia Luci

Another fabulous lunch prepared by Tia Luci!

We had lunch at Tio Hugo and Tia Luci's today. As I mentioned earlier, Tia Luci is a great cook and she makes authentic Chilean food. For today's lunch, we had porotos con masamora which is kind of like a stew made from fresh corn and fresh beans that you can only get in the summer. Tio Hugo also made 2 kinds of pevre (like a salsa) made from fresh green chiles and tomato salad. The typical Chilean salad is a tomato salad - sliced tomatoes with onions, salt and olive oil. So, so good!

Tio Hugo and Tia Luci are curious as to why I'm always taking pictures of the food before we eat so I explained we wanted to take pictures so we can remember the food and talk about it at home. Rod told Tia Luci that I'm a good cook but he wants her to teach me how to make Chilean food. I'll try but no promises - get ready family, you're gonna be the guinea pigs when we get back!
