Un otro primo

After the passport business, we went with Dad and Tio Hugo to la Providencia where Tio's son, Hugo chico ('little' Hugo) has a music store. Hugo chico is actually Dad's cousin so he's only 'chico' because he's a 'Jr.'

Hugo chico's store is a cool little place that sells all types of music and albums. Hugo is somewhat of a music aficionado. The store has a lower level which Tio and Hugo chico are building out to be a place for small release parties or press junkets, quite cool!

Right next to the store is a nice little cafe. Dad says there's a law that requires employers to provide paid meals to their employees so places like the cafe sell meal tickets to employers which their employees can redeem for a free lunch. The cafe's lunch special included a choice of a couple of entrees (pasta or like a vegetarian fritata with rice), a drink and a dessert, for about $4 US. What a deal!

An even better deal was next door to the cafe - a nail salon offering pedicures for 5,000 pesos (less than $10 US). I have to get a pedicure before I leave Chile!!
