Mucha Mucha Familia

Grandma Gina is fortunate to live so close to most of her siblings, they take care of each other and spend time together every day. We got to meet Tia Teresa (Grandma Gina's sister) yesterday - but it was the way we met that's so funny. Sheri and I got to the elevator to go to Tia Chela's apartment. Waiting at the elevator is the cutest little white-haired senora about 4'10" tall, just standing there. She asked if we were going up and she told us the elevator wasn't coming. We greeted her and I noticed the elevator button wasn't pressed, so I pressed it (wonder how long she was standing there). We all looked at each other and laughed. We got into the elevator and I asked what floor she was going to, she said 'cinco' which is the same floor as us. We all got out of the elevator - Sheri and I headed towards Tia Chela's door and we noticed this lady was following us. When put the key in the door she looked confused and slowly started walking in the other direction. When I turned to see where she was going I just had this hunch that she might be Tia Teresa. I asked her if she was and she said, "Si" and was extremely relieved that she hadn't gotten lost. I gave her a big hug and explained who I was and we laughed our way into the apartment.

Back at Grandma Gina's, I took a picture of Sheri with Grandma Gina and Tia Teresa. Grandma Gina and her sisters are really tiny, Sheri is like a giant girl in between them.

Also stopping by to visit was our cousin, Jorge Luis Gajardo. Jorge Luis is the son of Tia Ely (Susie's cousin) and Tio Jorge. We had not seen Jorge Luis and his family since our wedding in 1993 so it was really nice to see him again. He has not changed at all!
