Susie's here (with Patron)!

Susie arrived Friday morning and will be here for 3 weeks. Dad asked her to bring along another one of my BFF's - a bottle of Patron! When I was sick with dehydration, Dad had an idea that some Patron would make me feel better. So for the last few days, whenever we passed a store selling specialty liquor, we had to peek in to see if they had Patron. With none to be found, Dad asked Susie to bring a bottle with her and she picked one up from the Duty Free shop at the airport on her way to Chile.

Apparently, Tequila is not a big deal here, the favored drink (aside from red wine) is Pisco. I had my first taste of Pisco Sour when Rod returned from Chile in 1990 and the affects were nothing I would ever blog about. Since then, I've tried to avoid Pisco Sour at the family gatherings but since I'm a big girl now, am able to drink more of it.

So we introduced Patron to the family tonight and it was a hit (as it always is!) The tasting went off without incident and I am happy to have a familiar friend here with us! I'm gonna sleep good tonight (barking dogs and all!)
